Caring for Your All on X Implant Hygiene
Your new teeth are fixed in place, and keeping them healthy is simple. Two habits, twice a day, will help protect your smile, your gums, and your implants for years to come.
Start this routine only once your doctor tells you to begin. From then on, make it part of every day — continue indefinitely, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
1. Brush Twice a Day
Morning & Night- Brush gently, twice a day — every morning and every night.
- Use a soft-bristled toothbrush — electric or manual, whichever you prefer.
- Brush from the cheek side (buccal) and from the tongue side (lingual) — cover both sides, every time.
- Be gentle. Let the brush do the work — no hard scrubbing.
2. Waterpik Twice a Day
Morning & Night- Use your Waterpik (water flosser) twice a day, every day — morning and night work well.
- Just like brushing, go from the cheek side (buccal) and from the tongue side (lingual).
- Move slowly around the whole arch so every area gets flushed clean.
◆ The Most Important Step: Clean the Seam
Place the Waterpik tip right at the seam where your prosthesis meets your gums — and aim the water into that seam to flush out plaque and food debris. Clean the full seam from the cheek side and the tongue side, twice a day. This seam is the most important spot in your whole routine.
